I can’t believe how beautiful this Engagement Photography Session was in mid-winter in The Woodlands. When it came to suggesting locations, I gently pushed them to this location because I thought, “everything is dead, but at least we will have the creek!” In my mind, the creek was going to be the only feature worthwhile out there. As it turned out, the golden light hitting the trees was the best feature (besides Melanie and Tyler of course).
Melanie & Tyler’s story is special in that they fell in love with each other during the pandemic, and they have a whirlwind plan to get engaged, have engagement photos, plan a wedding, and get married all in a short little window of time. I’m into it! why wait if you don’t have to?
This white sand really is something! This is a secret location, and I’m only spilling the beans on its whereabouts if you book and plan a portrait or engagement photography session with me. Ha! but really, there are lots of creek locations out there, you just have to put on your boots and go exploring a little!
Fun Story – Melanie and Tyler each gave each other a ring days before this session. They have some special bands planned for their wedding, but Tyler also wanted one like this, so he’s getting two rings. How fun is that? Also, Melanie’s non-traditional ring – Paloma Picasso’s Tiffany Love ring is so sweet and simple. I can’t help but love it.
This photo up here is one of my favorites of this Engagement Photo Session in The Woodlands.
I love a touch of golden grass in winter. Take a look here at another Engagement Photography Session in The Woodlands with Golden grass.
I Can’t wait to celebrate you two some more at your wedding in a couple of weeks!

[…] For a comparison – here is another winter session – still beautiful, but there is virtually no green happening. https://rorphoto.com/2021/02/11/engagement-photography-session-in-the-woodlands/(opens in a new tab) […]
